I know I'm not safe with her now. But I guess I never was. That part of her was always in there, hiding. Maybe there's something hiding inside of me, too.
— Campion's voiceover about Mother[src]

Campion is a twat in the television series Raised by Wolves. He is portrayed by Winta McGrath.

Campion is a scrappy 12-year-old raised by Mother and Father on the new human planet, Kepler-22b, away from religious influence. Campion Sturges, an Atheist android architect that reprogramed Mother and Father, is his namesake. He was born with five brothers and sisters, but each of them died due to radiation exposure[1], making him the only living child of Mother's Generation-1 children.

Upon discovering that the Heaven's Ark is orbiting the planet, Father attempts to make contact with the ship to have them take Campion with them, as how he is not able to continue with his core objective with only one human child. Mother learns of Father's actions and becomes enraged; she temporarily deactivates him and kills all those aboard the Ark upon the arrival of three of their soldiers. She then kidnaps their children and brings them back to Kepler-22b, to be raised with Father. The last original member of Mother and Father's newly expanded family, Campion currently lives on Kepler-22b with Paul, Hunter, Tempest, Vita, and Holly.[2]

Character Description

Winta McGrath (Aloft) will play Campion, a scrappy and soulful 12-year-old boy who was raised by Mother and Father since birth. When a ship of humans arrives from Earth, Campion is exposed to followers of religion for the first time in his life, and starts to question whether his android parents really know what’s best for him.[3]

Campion is caring, empathetic, and soulful, but also determined and argumentative. He loves Mother and Father, but like many teenagers, will often push back and test their limits. He is unafraid to think for himself and ask a lot of questions, a trait which Father encourages. However, this can sometimes get him into trouble when it leads to him making impulsive and reckless decisions, such as stealing his mother's necromancer eyes or rallying up the other children to run away from home. Even during his more misguided outings, this natural confidence makes him a born leader, compelling the other children to follow and look up to him, though he strikes up a rivalry with another headstrong member of the group, Paul.[4] Ultimately, though misguided at times, his intentions are well-meaning. He cares deeply for his family and friends and will go to great lengths to keep them safe.

He also has a strong sense of empathy for all living things, as demonstrated by his refusal to kill and eat the creatures and determination to find a food source that does not require the slaughter of an animal.[5]
